Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3
Written by zoya

We believe that the annual Call of Duty release should honor the start of a new year rather than Hogmanay. In preparation for this auspicious day, we have all the information you need to know about the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 release date, pre-orders, and most recent MW3 news. There aren’t many greater gaming events, and Activision is well aware of this by reintroducing legendary CoD antagonist Vladimir Makarov to the fray to drive home its significance. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, directed by Sledgehammer Games, is a follow-up to 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, which was a remake of the original Modern Warfare trilogy from 2007 to 2011.

When Is The Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will officially arrive on November 10, 2023, according to Activision. However, the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 open beta will allow you to experience the game before it is officially released. The following times are available for the MW3 open beta:

  • Crossplay beta (all platforms) | 12th-13th October early access (PC and Xbox), open beta on PlayStation | 14th-16th October open beta on all platforms.

Only those who pre-order the game are eligible for the early access periods. Everyone has access to the open beta.

All of this indicates that the leak from Insider Gaming sources was accurate, which allows us to conclude (theoretically) that the release date for the game’s first season and the new Warzone map are accurate.
  • MW3 Season 1 & New Warzone map | 5th December 2023

We can only hope that Activision will soon make more official confirmations, possibly during Call of Duty: Next on October 5.

What Platform Is Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 On?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is playable on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Battle.net and Steam), which should come as no surprise. It cannot be played on the Nintendo Switch.

Fans of the Switch should be sorry to hear that we are still waiting for the franchise to debut on Nintendo’s hybrid platform. We could have to wait till Microsoft fully completes its acquisition of Activision.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay And Story Details

The brand-new Open Combat Missions are included in the Call of Duty campaign mode in addition to the regular story missions. These levels provide you with flexible gaming options so you can approach the situation however you wish. Most importantly, Makarov is returned as the game’s main enemy in Modern Warfare 3.

Additionally, Sledgehammer promises a number of Open Combat Missions throughout the campaign. Little has been revealed about the specific gameplay modifications (apart from Tac-Stance), although it appears like slide canceling will return.

Slide canceling was hinted at in a tweet by FaZe clan member FaZe Swagg, a member of the Call of Duty esports team. View the video below to make your own judgment.

The main news item outside of the campaign is the eagerly awaited return of the zombies mode. The largest map ever featured in Zombies, an open-world map serves as the setting for the new Zombies mode. With your friends and other teams, take on hordes of the Dark Aether Zombies in missions across the world in the Treyarch mode.

All 16 of the launch maps from the first Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been recreated for MW3’s online multiplayer and will be playable starting on November 10; 12 all-new six-versus-six levels will be released later. A three versus three versus three mode called Cutthroat is among the upcoming new modes.

Is There A Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Trailer?

Activision has already posted numerous Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailers online. All of them are collected here for your viewing pleasure.

The first is a simple teaser video that declares the game’s existence. Captain Price provides commentary, and we also catch a glimpse of Vladimir Makarov. Watch it right here.

The second trailer, which features Price once more speaking about the danger Makarov brings, is devoted to Makarov. Flashes of gameplay show the terrorist moving through a prison as Pusha T’s song “Just So You Remember” plays in the background.

In August, a gameplay reveal trailer made its premiere as a part of Gamescom 2023. This one undoubtedly has a more cinematic feel to it, showcasing many of the places Price and his squad would go to in their pursuit of Makarov. The notorious “No Russian” level from the first MW2 is then teased before the clip concludes. The soundtrack for the trailer is a cover of “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”.
